nice inspirational book

Divertida novela de humor ambientada en la España de los años 80, que relata las vivencias de un joven (Cobre) que se ha trazado una única meta en la vida, pasárselo bien. El libro consigue su objetivo que es hacer reír, y en muchas ocasiones las carcajadas son inevitables. El humor destilado en la novela se presenta en los diálogos y en la multitud de desternillantes situaciones que el autor presenta a cada paso. La novela puede ser mas del agrado de los hombres que de las mujeres.

Near-history science fiction exploring social, human and technological change. Great storytelling.

I found this book to be wildly entertaining. The characters were fully developed and interesting and they continued to get themselves into sticky situations as they tried to stop the building of a pancake house on land inhabited by endangered owls.

Alain de Botton's considerations on travel are a must-read for any restless traveler. He deconstructs the act of traveling, investigating its reasons and suggesting ways to improve the activity based on psychological and philosophical grounds. His easy writing style is really a pleasure, considering how dense and theoretical his approach is. Like in "How Proust Can Change Your Life", he analyzes the craft of artists and apply it to practical experiences, for a happier and more mindful life.
