Broken dreams club

By girls

Somehow in my head the lead singer of girls has merged with Eddie Perfect. I guess cause they both sing with a lisp, (or I've imagined they do). That's not so important. What's important is that this is great. There's quite a lot of Elvis Costello and 60s reverby sounds in here; clever memorable melodies that sound like you remember them from somewhere; and the crisp sound of a well-rehearsed band playing together in a room. Just really catchy smart music.

Devils Godson Album

By Poppa

Devils Godson Album by Poppa is a great hiphop freestyle instrumental beats CD. I personally love " God Looks Away " and " When a Pimp Loves a Woman. " Check it out on CD BABY, Rhapsody and iTunes. I promise you gonna love it.

Destroy Rock & Roll

By MYLO

This is an awesome electronic album from 1999. I have a lot of favorites on here: Sunworshipper, Emotion 98.6, Valley Of The Dolls, Drop The Pressure, In My Arms, and Otto’s Journey. I can’t wait for his new album.

The conformist

By Doveman

I bought this album recently for a friend after hearing a few tracks here and there. And to make sure I didn't buy a dud I've been hanging round his myspace and listening to tracks off the album. Good news for me and him: It's really good. Normally I'd be turned off by the almost-too-precious whispery vocals but the songs are sophisticated and stirring. Especially liked the stuff with the National's Matt Berninger. Weirdly, Doveman also covered the entire footloose album.
